Welcome to MAB!

If you're into overnight backpacking (not day hiking), or think you would like to be, and looking for an active group, this is the place for you!

Trips are scheduled every month throughout the year. Member participation is what makes this work, both as organizers and participants.

This is not backpack traveling, we aim to get out of urban environments with a focus on natural rather than cultural attractions. You'll do well here if you have a sense for adventure and seeing new places.

Expect hiking throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, spanning the Appalachian Trail (AT), the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Massanutten Mountains, the Shennandoah Mountains & Valley region, the Delaware Water Gap, Smokey Mountains, the Allegheny Mountains, state highpoints and more...
